Comments: Recent rain caused the canyon water to be rather brown. There was a disgusting amount of trash throughout the canyon as well… canyon was mostly a slippery creek walk with a rappel and a few fun jumps. Out of 6 canyons on our DR trip, this was my least favorite and I felt it was highly overrated.

Comment: Mix of fun 25 foot jumps, a cool first rap, but lots of slippy creek walking.

Comment: 6.5h car-to-car including walking the shuttle road. High clearance recommended for the dirt road to the start of the canyon - shuttle road however is more passenger vehicle friendly. Great waterflow. 3/2 wetsuit was comfortable. Keeper pothole is in play. Based on anchor conditions, the upper section of canyon appears to see low traffic. Much of the rock was incredibly slippery which was a bit of a pain (there's a lot of creeking between rappels). GPS went haywire on the exit but the paths out were straightforward enough. No other people in the canyon today.

Comment: Super fantastic fun. We jumped everything after the mushroom. Time was 5:45, car to car (We set a shuttle).

Comment: Still the best canyon in the Dominican Republic, even after doing the other canyons of the 2024 rendezvous in Bonao. Having done it before, our group of four took 5 hours in canyon, a bit shorter than the 5.5hrs last year. The water in the keeper potholes was a few feet lower than last year, and we were able to traverse around to the bolt on rock without getting into the water. Such a great canyon!

Comment: Gorgeous canyon, with many signature pools, the best of course being Cola de Pato. We took 5.5 hours in the canyon and just over 1.5hrs to do the hike back to the car. The flow was normal for this time of year, and the tricky pothole in the middle was easy to climb out of and for the first member of our party to traverse and set up the safety line for the others. A single bolt placed above this traverse would make it so much safer, and remove the need for the PG rating (risky only for the first person). Definitely a must do canyon in the Dominican Republic!

Comment: Nice flow. Middle section not currently flowing, and several potholes to swim. The traverse around the big KPH was not too bad, as it can be protected by the bolts. Absolutely gorgeous canyon. Friendly locals at the parking areas, not problems. Exit trail is excellent, not a problem to follow. All anchors in good shape. No other groups or people on the route.
