Comments: Spent an hour of unnecessary bushwhacking at the beginning to make sure we started at canyon proper. Nothing worth experiencing upstream of the first anchor, future parties should approach using the clearing that opens up just before the first rappel. Really fun, easy canyon in low water flow. Doing the traverse on the last rappel was unnecessary but fun. Watch out for poison oak.

Comment: Trip was on a very hot and sunny day, and the canyon walls did not offer much shade during descent. Our team got to NF Kings and split up into hiking back and waiting for the car. It is possible to climb back after R6 by going a couple hundred feet downstream on NF Kings and bushwhacking up the hill until the game trails. There are some large loose rocks on the hike back up.

Comment: Trip started at noon during heat wave 104F. Many game trails to follow near parking area so follow one that is heads south east. Hike back is covered in sticker plants during summer months and only shade available is during hike out. 4/5 ancho stations replaced with new webbing/ dynema slings. The traverse and last anchor will need fresh webbing by next year.

Comment: Easy warm-up canyon in very good flow for this creek. 3" of rain in previous week. All raps are out of water and N. Fork of Kings was low enough to easily walk/wade across.

Comment: Replaced all the webbing. Downclimbed R2. Did not encounter any bees. A couple rattles snakes were encountered on the loop exit though. A few PGE trucks stopped by to chat as we were sorting gear before the canyon. They warned of an increased presence of large snakes closer to the NF Kings when the weather cools off. They also did not seem familiar with people hiking in the area and one of them thought we might be confused, but were quickly reassured.

Comment: Quick and easy loop with good scenery. Water was a trickle and pools were easily avoided. A few bees but nothing to worry about. Gusty winds led to a stuck rope on rappel #4; easily retrieved with about 20' of ascending. Lots of large, loose rocks on exit hike - loop exit could be dangerous for a larger group.
