Comments: Beautiful pools, fun inflow raps, how is this not rated higher? The Bushwack in is kinda annoying but the fun to be had with the jumps and in flow rappels more than makes up for it IMHO. All bolts were in good working order, R3 bolt nut was loose but tightened down and seemed fine. All jumps were done no new obstacles to avoid in pools. R1 was jumped from the anchor after a depth check…a precise jump but can be done. There are numerous ledges in this canyon from 10 up to 40ish feet. All rope pulls were easy and never ran into any rope entanglement. Fun place to spend a day…

Comment: Moderate to low flow. No special challenges of note. R6 (70' rappel) has the bolt lingo (one ring and one rapide to indicate a traverse line is needed, and the rap sort of looks like it might need one, but it doesn't, and the pull was easy). Middle section stream walk went smoothly as the water was decently low, leaving a good amount of dry rocks to hop on. Bushwhack hike in was not fun.

Comment: Water was flowing at a decent rate still, so that was good. Not a whole lot of interest going on in the canyon. Not overly scenic, no to very few jumps, limited good DCs (pretty much only the last logjam). Kind of hard to justify with the isolation, even when doing Silver also (which has even less, except many jumps).

Comment: Lovely canyon. R3 optional jump was pretty cool. The water is really pretty, and not cold at all by North Cascades standards. If not for the somewhat bushwhacky approach and the half mile creek walk, I would rate this even higher. Anchors were all good except for one of the R3 bolts described in the previous report. Great day overall

Comment: A great day out on the 2nd descent of this creek! Water levels were at or slightly less than our first descent in late September 2021, due to the accelerated snowmelt in the Cascades this season. Most single bolted anchors are now doubled up. There was some rockfall damage on one of the R3 bolts, bolt bent and the steel clearly having taken an impact. Bolt was not loose and was determined to be useable. Its sister bolt was in great condition.
Highly recommend this creek for a casual day out in the summer!
