Comments: Water was great! All webbing good, hangar is able to spin as mentioned before but the bolt itself does not move, rapped and were safe. Alternative bolts are available at this rappel as well. We ended up doing 7 rappels and skipping all the jumps, there is an additional rappel prior to R1, maybe able to downclimb but water felt great and made it a fun intro for the beginners.

Comment: Low-moderate, nonthreatening flow of relatively clear and cold water for this place. Nice to be able to see bottom more and bark our shins less than usual. Team was in everything from a 3mm shortie to 5mm full. We were all chilled by halfway or so, which made us more water-avoidant than I like, choosing out-of-watercourse raps and rarely jumping. Still, great weather!
One of our group forgot my 5mm full body Henderson suit in or near the parking lot. In the unlikely event the finder sees this, I’d love to get it back! https://youtu.be/iYpp7mc5BhY?si=QuY5usZCJMeCxXha

Comment: Water was not muddy and pretty warm, I regretted bringing my shortie.

Comment: My first report. T'was a great day. Water was chilly but with a 3mm shorty, I was fine. If you run cool, a full suit would be better.

Comment: Team of two, took us five hours, we took our time and just enjoyed the day. I run warm, I had a 4/3, and was good the whole day. My friend had a 5mm and she got a little cold on the swimmer between the 3rd and 4th rap.

Comment: was comfy in my 5mm but too cold in a 3/2. slippery. skipped the last rap and scrambled out, steep but doable.

Comment: Had the choco milk look from recent rain, and flow was nicely up a bit, but still beginner friendly. The combo slide-jump on DCL at the last drop is fun!

Comment: Water was murky due to recent rain, nice and warm with a air temp of 81 and sunny, looks like the issue with the first webbing had been addressed

Comment: The right bolt on the first rap is starting to spin. I'm not sure if it can be wrenched because I didn't have a wrench to try. It's not very loose, but it does move. *Please ensure that the webbing on the first anchor is tied in a way that is redundant and won't add undue force on the good bolt should there be a failure of the right bolt.* People have been tying death triangles and sliding/magic X's on these bolts and they aren't the safest for the situation.

Comment: Always a good time. Anchors are good and in abundance. Beta on this page is quite a bit to decipher. New exit alternative will be added to the kml.

Comment: Ran twice in 3 days. Plan was to move to Rim canyons, but fire closure… Did Sun Bear, then the boys wanted to come back and cool off in this one again. Everyone loved this canyon. Standard “first guy raps, checks depth, then jumping is an option of deep enough” procedure worked well (and kept them from jumping into one spot that looked deep, but would have broken legs). Hiking along highway is dull, but very quick. All anchors and pulls were great. Flow high enough, and rocks slick enough to make on-rappel ragdolling/left hip sliding preferable to standard rappel posture at several drops.

Comment: Flow has lowered significantly in the past few weeks but is still fun. Wore a 5mm wetsuit + rain jacket and was comfortable. Everyone in the group who wore 3mm suits was cold. All rappels were done outside of the watercourse due to having a few beginners and one first-timer. One member of the group jumped all rappels.
