Comments: Only ran the big drop, rest of the creek with wind storm and high water was a complete mess of crap. Need a chainsaw and machete. Flow was not as high as I wanted but this rappel for me is worth it! Incredible way down! Set new webbing on tree DCR and used edge protection going down right in the flow, rocks were sharp but easily avoided rope damage. The pull is best done on DCL and about 40ft back from the falls. Should be combo with archer right next door.

Comment: Most creeks in the area were running high after a truly ridiculous amount of rain earlier in the week, so we decided to take a look at Gable. The first and last rappels are fun, but the rest of the creek is an overgrown jungle. Bring the machete. We bypassed the middle falls as it was an unaesthetic mess. Altogether we probably spent more time out of the creek than in it. Beware sharp edges and rockfall on the big drop. Anyone belaying should stand well back from the drop or underneath the overhang.
