Comments: Very fun beautiful canyon similar to nearby Waterholes/Pockets but half the length, featuring some really great rappels and gorgeous sculpted rock! We hiked along the side of the canyon for a while looking to bypass the drops as beta suggests. We stayed out until we couldnt anymore and the canyon slotted up, unknowingly bypassing R1, we were faced with a large sandy ledge and no anchors. The previous “deadman/cairn” anchors were washed out so we used my sandtrap instead on one rappel. The other has a good sandy spot to use it but there is also an old tire wedged in a crack we fiddled off of, however, we almost stuck our rope on that one so sandtrap may be better. The pot holes were very shallow and of no consequence, I dont believe we even got in any of them. There was a few pools of water easily avoidable. All the rappels are fun and pretty and the technical section was short only about 3hrs or so. The bulk of the day was pack-rafting out which was very enjoyable! Would definitely come back! Beta has been updated!
