Comments: Pool below the final rap is around waist depth and unavoidable, but we inflated our boats and paddled across. A bit muddy throughout and some small patches of snow. Other pools were bypassed with a few exposed traverses and/or downclimbs. Toggle came in handy for a number of raps. Time reflects an exit via ropes trail.

Comment: R1 is only like 35' if DCing the semi steep crack after, pool is about thigh deep, but can keep partners dry
Can confirm longest rap at about 190', although appears uncertain Skill with DCing/steep slickrock and comfort with exposure is helpful for this canyon in a number of places Never encountered the wedged tire, but we bypassed going L and descended a broken ramp system Final sleing fed pool is at least waist deep No wetsuits used, but we were chilly and shivering at times from being wet We exited UPriver to the Ropes Trail. Total exit time was about 2.5hrs.

Comment: Very cool canyon with super easy access from Page. The amount of trash as a result though is disheartening and personally detracted from the overall experience. Sand trapping R1 is a fun aspect. The bolted anchors are sufficient but may need updated with increased traffic. Paddle is long, but fun. Time reflects substantial headwind on paddle out.

Comment: Good canyon with a long exit. Big rappels from single bolts, and a sandtrap for r1, make this a not so inviting canyon. If anchors were improved, and a you took a boat shuttle instead of paddle it would be a solid 4 star for the area.

Comment: Beautiful short canyon with some fun rappels and a great way to access the Colorado River!
We did the same as last time, skipping R1, dropping into the canyon down a V notch and climbing around subsequent raps. I am going to adjust the beta to remove those drops and R1 as they are easily bypassed without missing anything. Arriving at the first big drop (now R1) where we used a sand trap last time, we found a single webbing loop popping out of the ground from what looked to be a buried deadman anchor. Gave it a soft tug, and backed it up with meat before sending our heaviest teammate first. As he rappelled, the webbing pulled straight out of the ground. Digging up the sand we found a large piece of concrete someone had buried. Upon further inspection it was clear the webbing had been cut and reburied, we suspect, by a spiteful local. I remember noticing a single set of footprints leading to/from the cliff edge… This should be a big warning to canyoneers, someone doesnt want us traveling through here and I feel going forward canyoneers should ONLY use a sandtrap on this drop and leave no trace. We added webbing to the tire rappel as the sand in this section is far too hard to dig up for a sandtrap. (halfway hardened to sandstone). We made it to the river in 4hrs. The Colorado was slammin’ today and we flew in our packrafts! Near the end the wind picked up and the paddle became more challenging, even so, this time it took us almost 4hr to paddle out. | |||||||

Comment: Very fun beautiful canyon similar to nearby Waterholes/Pockets but half the length, featuring some really great rappels and gorgeous sculpted rock! We hiked along the side of the canyon for a while looking to bypass the drops as beta suggests. We stayed out until we couldnt anymore and the canyon slotted up, unknowingly bypassing R1, we were faced with a large sandy ledge and no anchors. The previous “deadman/cairn” anchors were washed out so we used my sandtrap instead on one rappel. The other has a good sandy spot to use it but there is also an old tire wedged in a crack we fiddled off of, however, we almost stuck our rope on that one so sandtrap may be better. The pot holes were very shallow and of no consequence, I dont believe we even got in any of them. There was a few pools of water easily avoidable. All the rappels are fun and pretty and the technical section was short only about 3hrs or so. The bulk of the day was pack-rafting out which was very enjoyable! Would definitely come back! Beta has been updated!
