Comments: This was a great spicy canyon done in moderate flow. Even though it was late season, there were some minor hydraulics and a keeper Eddy after R7. The crux rap R4 is pretty pushy. One of the blots on R4 is blown, it is only a single blot now. It is also advisable to stem out and away at the bottom of R3 and not get caught under the waterfall as there is a pothole which is hard to get out of. Overall, it was a lovely and spicy day.

Comment: Flow was appx 5cfs. Crack rap was pushy at edge, but not rip you off the rope pushy and no one had any problems.
Several short slides are possible at the beginning and the end (but at the end some have rocks partially submerged, but the drops are very short) The shuttle is blocked about .75 road miles from the bottom parking. Looks like this hasn't been drivable, at least to the bottom, for quite some time.

Comment: With the flow that we had, the flows were pretty mellow until we got to the crux of the canyon. The water force is surprisingly much stronger at the crux and afterwards (keeper eddy) so take caution in that section! Water was cold and wished I wore more than my 4/3 + windbreaker. For the exit, we took the "shortcut" route which is not recommended. Follow the original exit route to get back to the car if no shuttle was setup. Better yet, set up a shuttle. It took 2.5 hours using the shortcut exit hike.

Comment: Descended the first few obstacles and retreated before the down climb prior to the pyramid rock.
Escaped by climbing up the face and gulley on canyon right.
