Comments: 3 stars for me, but if you love freehangs and long rappels this could easily be a 5 star. A full 200' freehang is pretty rare. Sorry moonflower, I'll meet you in the middle and give you 4, but i mean, your approach hike is called "the stairmaster" - f that.
- PLEASE READ** As Logan noted, the rap length of the first drop is a solid 200'. We had 2x200' Sterling C-IVs both a couple years old with a bit of shrinkage. We were a few feet off the deck but no big deal as we kept resetting the rappel length after every person until we got it exactly right. On the second rappel we were about 20' too short. The Moab canyoneering book says the rap is 180-220' to which I say: Bullshit, it's 220' unless your ropes are brand spanking new. I cannot immagine lengthening the anchor long enough (while still safely getting on rappel) to make up enough distance, and 180' is preposterous. After I went over the edge and down far enough to discover this I ascended back up, and we pulled the ropes and hiked down DCL.
The first anchor had 2 bolts that were spinners, a bit of (useless) chain, and a mess of unequalized webbing. We cleaned it up a bit. The bolts at the second anchor were somewhat better. If rappelling the second drop please note that hikers could be down there - rap out of the bag until you can confirm your rope deployment is safe.

Comment: 12/20/2016: 3 hours, 2 people, mostly cloudy, 50 degrees, potholes covered in ice, the swimmer can be bypassed by rappelling off bolts on canyon right, 1st rap was exactly 200 feet - we used a new 200 foot rope and left only 2 feet of tail to tie the pull side and it barely reached the tops of the dried grass at the bottom, 2nd rap was about 202 feet but a 200 foot rope sufficed - it was about 4 feet from the floor but we jumped to the uphill side of the slope no problem
