Comments: After the Middle section, we hiked back to our cars and drove down to the Lower section in our wetsuits. The Lower section was beautiful, just like the Middle, and we had fun descending the creek. We loved the jumps and rappels in the canyon. We rappelled down the canyon from the X-rated hydraulic. One of our team members drove in it after rappelling and said the waterfall pushed him down four or five feet and then pushed him towards the back wall. He said it pushed him back and downward, and it was challenging to swim through the highly aerated water. After completing the Lower section we hiked out and walked the road 10-15 minutes back to our cars. We found the existing anchors in good condition and had no issues.

Comment: Gauge at 26cfs. Bypassed all the flowy bits due to group experience level

Comment: Pretty low at 35 cfs. Still super fun. No anchors on rap 1,4,5. Wet webbing knot block on rap 2. Some pools were not deep enough to jump into safely. The jump after rap 1 was plenty deep though.

Comment: We did the canyon twice in two days, enjoying the rare low water conditions. We found that the lower canyon is more tame than the middle, and more beautiful, with options to rappel around the hydraulic challenges instead of being forced to face them directly. We found that you can exit the canyon at almost any point, making it not very committing. Because of this, we took beginners through the lower canyon the next day and they did just fine. The jump over the waterfall on R3 is worth doing, especially in low water conditions.
