Comments: Great approach, great exit, great upper section, great lower section - however long drawn out middle section.

The water was full of glacier flour, so impacted water visibility, and all pools had to be depth checked thoroughly. A lot of the creek and pools are filled with fine gravel which is nice for soft landings but easily fill your shoes!

The big slide goes (and is great fun to lap), as does the big jump immediately after (very deep but narrow landing). V-thread on penultimate rap is in good condition.

Overall multiple 4* features, but in a 3* setup.

Ran it in a double-day with nearby Ruth.

Comment: Many good downclimbs, downclimbs in the flow - a rare treat, 2 slides, and a few rappels in the flow. Not great for jumping as most pools were either very shallow or had submerged boulders invisible due to the opaque water. Very interesting variegated rock. Very low pay-to-play ratio. Worth repeating. R11 overhang in the flow and some other single bolts need a 2nd bolt. On Baker Highway 2nd only to Deadhorse.

Comment: A reasonable day in Swamp. Overall the canyon has a high level of pay for an okay amount of play. This seems like a reasonable combo with nearby Ruth but to be honest I would just repeat Ruth instead, you will likely have more fun overall. Generally lots of creeking and downclimbing slippery log jams for 1-3 good features overall. No real approach or exit so if you enjoy creeking it might be worth doing.
