Comments: First Descent. We were surprised by the pothole full of water, as well as the last two rappels which came after a long wash walk segment. We didn't see much in the way of wildlife. But we did consistently run into other OHV's in the off-road section. There were some tire tracks in the wilderness area but they didn't look fresh, just the remnants of the road prior to the wilderness boundary perhaps?

This seemed like a really great time of year to visit, given the recent rains that kept the sand in the wash firm, as well as the 50 degree f. temps which kept us cool on the arduous approach and while we crossed the ridge of boulders.

There was a tiny trickle of water through most of the canyon.

We installed many marginal anchors including cairns, dead-men, slung-boulders, and knot-chocks.
