Comments: We got a ride in the back of a local's pickup truck up the last 1/4-1/2 mile or so of the approach. Everyone had 2+mm shorties except I had a long-sleeved shorty. No one was uncomfortably cold, but we probably wouldn't have minded a little warmer wet suits. Air temperatures were 73F in Hilo when we started, peaking at 79F. About 1/3 of the trip was sunny, but otherwise cloudy and there were two periods of rain for 1-2 hours total that put the quality at only Great. I watched a fixed spot during the rain and I didn't notice any detectable change in flow rate.

The rocks are very slippery (probably typical conditions) which caused our party to go slower than we would have liked, but because of that, we didn't spend extra time at any features. There are also a number of opportunities to jump where we didn't (except R3 for one of us). The anchors are mostly in "easy" places; given more time, I would probably put some of them in more "fun" places.
