Introduction[edit]

A short but fun canyon, best done in combination with The Subway. To do that you will need to reserve a permit for Das Boot and apply for the Subway lottery separately. When you go pick it up at the back country desk you will pay for one single permit.

Das Boot is the section of the Left Fork of North Creek just up canyon from the Zion Subway section, and down canyon from the Upper Left Fork section. The permit required for either the standard Das Boot route or the Upper Left Fork portion are the same. The park calls labels the permit as "Upper Left Fork (Das Boot).
