Comments: Calculated flow was 40 cfs which was a fun flow. Bolts at R1 and R2 were in good shape. We parked by the bridge going over the N Fork of the Sky because we didn't have a high clearance vehicle. The road passed that had some sections that were not for the feint of heart. All of the bridges/exposed areas along the trail were pretty well protected with handlines.

Comment: What a fun little canyon. With a high clearance vehicle the approach & exit are very short (we half-suited in & out).

Some good jumping fun to be had. Beautiful pools when the sun hits them.

The webbing-linked anchors should be swapped out for unlinked rings.

Comment: Came back for round two, partly to scout a route to skip the creek walk. Was happy to find an easy walk in with a semi developed trail (assuming from kayakers) that dropped you in right at the top of R1. Flow had definitely picked up from the rain overnight, not surprisingly considering the size of the drainage. There still weren’t any major hazards, although the slides were a bit chundery, but in a fun way. Will work to update the beta and gpx. Also to note is that Index-Galena road is open, so access to this canyon is much easier. The road past the low clearance parking is fairly intense in several spots, but a compact SUV with AWD will make it up, with some skillful driving. A little bit of anchor development in this canyon would make it even better, but this is already a water park. All three rappels can be jumped and downstream are two great slides and a jump.

Comment: Unexpected great day down silver Creek. Felt a lot like mineral which was unexpected. A faster drop in would be better and would save 25 mins of creek walking.

The entire canyon needs anchor work. We replaced one anchor with very old webbing.

The entire canyon is also jumpable. I didn't use a rope the entire time down the canyon.

Comment: As mentioned, there is a cable just above the non 4x4 parking.

I was able to jump everything with some modest risk/skill a couple of times. Most others were easy. I had a total of about 10 jumps, most not mandatory.

Comment: Flow was there but not too pushy. The approach trail and bolts are in good condition. Last mile of the road (high clearance section) was blocked with a cable but the road was in good shape. It was easy to find the entrance following the pink ribbons. There is a lot of creek walking in the first 2 thirds of the descent. R3 could be a jumped from top, or downclimbed and jumped. The virtual gauge of AW for Silver was 22 CFS.

Comment: Really fun canyon with lots of jump spots into deep water. Water is beautiful! Good bit of creek walking for the first two and last quarter of the canyon, but nothing too slippery, challenging, or exhausting. Really enjoyed and would recommend.

Comment: All bolts and anchors are good and easy pulls. Low flows but very pretty. Canyon is in the shade, so lil sun, but the creek is not tooo cold.
